The presence of outstanding faculty members from the university among the world's top scientists represents another honor for ZAUMS.

According to the Vice Chancellor of Research and Information Technology, ZAUMS, another faculty member has been listed among the top 1% of scientists globally, while 7 others have been recognized in the top 2% of scientists in the world.

The selection of the top 1% of scientists is based on the ESI ranking system and takes into account the number of citations to their articles and their scientific impact. This ranking is carried out using data from the Web of Science and evaluates the influence of research articles on the global scientific community.

Additionally, the list of the top 2% of scientists in the world, published by Stanford University and based on data from the Scopus database, is determined by criteria such as the number of articles, citations, and scientific indices like the H-index. These evaluations assess the scientific impact and international collaborations of researchers and establish their standing among the top 2% of scientists globally.

This valuable achievement, which is based on credible scientific indicators such as the number of citations to scientific articles, the quality of research, and global impact, reflects the tireless efforts and outstanding research of the faculty members at this university.

Dr. Ebrahim Kurd, the Vice Chancellor for Research and Information Technology, congratulated the faculty members and expressed gratitude for their unwavering efforts, stating: “This honor not only elevates the university's academic standing on an international level but also represents a significant step towards the advancement of science and research in the country.”

Regarding the ranking systems for global scientists, he mentioned that the ESI system and Stanford University provide two credible global models for ranking the world's top scientists. He noted that there are thematic and disciplinary overlaps in the processes of these two ranking models; thus, some scientists appear on both lists of top scientists globally.

He also emphasized the necessity of providing more support for the university's researchers and creating suitable environments for both fundamental and applied research. He regarded these successes as a sign of the university's commitment to enhancing the quality of education and research at a global level and called for relentless efforts towards scientific progress and flourishing in all fields.
