Dr. Bakhshani, a Faculty Member of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences, Wins the Biennial Memorial Award of Dr. Saeed Shamloo in Clinical Psychology

At the Biennial Memorial Congress of the Late Dr. Saeed Shamloo, Dr. Noor Mohammad Bakhshani, a distinguished researcher from Zahedan University of Medical Sciences and a faculty member of the university, received the congress Biennial award.
According to the Public Relations report, on the occasion of the anniversary of the late Dr. Saeed Shamloo, the founder of clinical psychology in Iran, the 10th Congress of the Iranian Psychological Association was held from February 5 to 7, 2025, with the participation and hosting of the University of Science and Culture. During this event, Dr. Noor Mohammad Bakhshani, a faculty member of the university, was awarded the congress award.
The Dr. Saeed Shamloo Award is granted by the Iranian Psychological Association (IPA) to researchers' contributions in the field of clinical psychology.
Award is granted to outstanding researchers in clinical psychology based on these seven criteria:
1. Minimum H-index of 3 in the Scopus citation database.
2. At least one scientific paper published in ISI (Web of Science) or Scopus journals (as the first or corresponding author).
3. A Ph.D. degree in a field related to clinical psychology Clinical Psychology, Child Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology, School Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Educational Psychology, Exceptional Children Psychology, General Psychology (provided that the Ph.D. dissertation is in the field of clinical psychology).
4. Quality and impact of research in the field of clinical psychology.
5. Innovation in research and its application in psychological treatments.
6. Number of citations to the researcher’s articles and scientific contributions.
7. Impact of academic activities on advancing clinical psychology in Iran.
This award is presented by the Iranian Psychological Association (IPA).
It is worth mentioning that to honor the valuable contributions of researchers, faculty members, university staff, and students, and to further encourage them in research activities, the Psychology Congress is held biennially.
