Enrollment process

We are delighted you are considering attending the Zahedan University of Medical Sciences. It is emphasized that the university admission is competitive, but each application is considered on its own educational background and merits, irrespective of the nationality of the applicant. There are more than 58 different undergraduate and postgraduate programs in ZAUMS to register.

For applicants with very good academic records, it is possible to enjoy a discount of up to 25% to 50% on tuition fees of the first semester, which may be extended to the other semesters based on the academic performance. For more details on tuition fees, please check out the tuition fee section.

Before You Apply
Zahedan University of Medical Sciences welcomes international students with good academic records. Applicants holding a high school diploma or an academic degree from a foreign accredited institution are eligible to register at Zahedan University of Medical Sciences. Please check out the following requirements to ensure you can provide all of the proper documentation before you start the application process.

International students applying to undergraduate and postgraduate programs at Zahedan University of Medical Sciences must submit the following documents in order to be considered for admission:

• Curriculum Vitae (in English) (postgraduate Students only)
• Copy of Passport (Valid for at least 6 months)
• Photos (Scan of a recent photo not taken later than 6 months ago)
• Copy of Academic Degree
• Copy of High School Diploma
• Copy of Academic Transcript
• Proof of English language proficiency (TOEFL /IELTS/PBT/iBT)
• Recommendation letter (at least 2 recommendation letters for postgraduate Students only)
• Motivation letter (postgraduate Students only)

We only accept applications submitted online. You can download the application form the Application Form section and send it along with your documents via email to internationaloffice@zaums.ac.ir. 

Alternatively, you can apply through our   university Agent (AIEMT Company) via the following link.

Once you have applied online, we will review your application closely at the "International Students Admission Council" and inform you about the results through the university Agent (AIEMT Company).

Application Deadline
Applications to ZAUMS are open all year round. Applicants are required to submit their applications online. So, any document sent by post will be ignored. Please note that your document materials must reach the "International Students Admission Council" office early enough in order to be considered in the admission procedure of relevant semester.

The Application Process   

• All applicants must fill out ZAUMS Application Form.
• The applicant will receive a confirmation email within 3 working days.
• The application form will be reviewed by International Affair Office Coordinator and will be sent to the "International Students Admission Council" (ISAC) for processing.
• The application form will be sent to the related School after initial approval of the "International Students Admission Council".
• If you are successful in your application, you will be asked to confirm your acceptance by forwarding a completed Study Visa Form to International Affair Office via email to process your entry visa. Please do not enter Iran with a tourist visa.
• After the applicant arrival in Iran, he/she goes to the International Affair Office to get a one-year residence permit.

Persian Language Proficiency
As the language of instruction in undergraduate level at University of is in Persian, foreign students are required to have an adequate knowledge and satisfactory command of the Persian language. The applicants should undertake an Intensive Persian Language Course for foreign students whose native language is other than Persian at Centres specified by the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.

 Tuition fees

Tuition Fees and Expenses for Academic Year 2024-2025

Tuition fees vary depending on the degree program you will be studying. The tuition fees listed below The Tuition fees are in U.S. dollars that have been calculated for one academic year will apply to the 2024-2025 academic year.

The annual tuition fee is subject to tuition discount, upon the approval by the respective department and the ZAUMS International Students Admission Council".

Note: We are not currentlty offering MBBS program.
