Educational Visa
Students intending to enroll at Zahedan University of Medical Sciences must obtain an educational visa (E Visa) to enter the country. Those who have received a "Conditional Admission Letter" from ZAUMS and have registered on the SAORG portal are eligible to apply for the visa. It is crucial for students to be mindful of their passport's expiration date and to ensure that their passports are renewed if they have less than six months of validity remaining at the time of admission. Once the visa is issued, the applicant will receive an email notification from the university agent company, instructing them to visit the Iranian Embassy or Consulate in their respective country to collect their student E visa within the specified timeframe mentioned in the email.
Educational Residence
Students who have arrived in Iran on an Educational visa are required to apply for a residence permit upon completing their registration at ZAUMS. To facilitate this process, international students must present the necessary documents to the Consular Affairs Department of the International Affairs Office at ZAUMS and must remain in the country while the residency permit is being processed. It is important to note that the residency permit is valid for one year.
Required Documents and Workflow of a One-year Educational Residence Permit:
International students should visit the Consular Affairs Department of ZAUMS in person with their student visa and passport.
Upon verification of the student's documents, the Consular Affairs Department will proceed with the processing of the residence request.
Following this, a code for the study residence request will be generated by the Immigration and Passport Police (IPP) of Iran.
The student's passport will then be forwarded to the Immigration and Passport Police of Iran for the registration of a residence permit.
After checking the student's documents, the Consular Affairs Department processes the student's residence request.
Upon issuance of a residence permit, the passport will be stamped and returned to the international student.
The issuance of academic residence is usually for one year , and the student must extend the residence one month before the expiration of the period specified in the residence permit. It usually takes 10 days to review the documents
Note 1: The residency permit should be collected in person from the Consular Affairs Department of the university after approximately one month.
Note 2: The residency permit applicant is not allowed to leave the country after visiting the university and completing the application for a residency permit until receiving the one-year permit.
Required Documents and Workflow for Issuance of Exit and Return Permit:
International students should visit the Consular Affairs Department (CAD) of ZAUMS in person 10 days before their decision to leave Iran, with their student visa and passport.
The Consular Affairs Department processes the student's residence status and checks the documents.
The passport of the international student is sent to the immigration and passport police of Iran, to issue the Exit and Return Permit.
The Exit and Return Permit is usually issued and submitted to the student in less than two working days.
Note 1: According to the regulations of the Immigration and Passport Police of Iran, each international student has the right to leave the border (Exit Iran) 4 times a year.
Note 2: According to the regulations of the Immigration and Passport Police of Iran, each international student has the right to stay in his home country for only 3 months every time he exits Iran, otherwise his visa and residency permit will be canceled
