Dr. Mehdi Zanganeh
MD, PhD (Health Services Management)
Associate Professor

 

After graduation from Kerman Medical School in 2003 Dr. Zanganeh has been working in the field of public health in Sistan and Balouchestan Province. He has served as a medical doctor in a rural setting, district vaccination coordinator and as a manager of public health at the district level in Nikshahr and Chabahar in southeast of Iran. As part of his job, he has been dealing with a wide range of public health problems and emergencies including malaria, tuberculosis, cholera and vaccine preventable diseases. He has some experience in implementing joint projects with Chabahar Free Zone and inter-sectoral collaboration in health-related projects.

After obtaining his PhD degree in Health Care Management from Iran University of Medical Sciences in 2014, he was employed by Zahedan University of Medical Sciences as a member of academic staff. Currently he is a member of Health Promotion Research Center at Zahedan University of Medical Sciences. He has been teaching health management and principles of medicine to students from different disciplines since 2014. He has also been appointed as planning advisor to the Chancellor of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences and was serving as Technical and Executive Deputy since 2014.
He was appointed as the Vice Chancellor for Health in May 2022.
