The Zahedan University of Medical Sciences and Health Services (ZAUMS) founded in 1986, currently has more than 400 permanent faculty members in the ranks of Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, and Lecturers on staff. Zahedan University of Medical Sciences, like all universities of medical sciences in the Islamic Republic of Iran, in addition to educational and research activities, is also responsible for providing primary health  care and treatment services to the residents of the area covered by university.

In addition to routine specialty and sub-specialty treatment services, ZAUMS also offers cochlear implantation, infertility treatment services, kidney and corneal transplantation and other specialized ophthalmic treatment services.

Whether you choose to invest in our facilities, medical care, and student life, academic and research programs, you are advancing ZAUMS’s mission. This means better serving those who need it most, fostering innovation, and generating new knowledge and information to improve the quality of life in the communities we serve.

Capital Projects

Donations towards new buildings and facilities leave a lasting mark in our university and help ensure that ZAUMS remains at the forefront of health and medical care delivery. Our team will work with you to match your investment with the University’s priorities.

ZAUMS is continuously investing in new buildings and facilities for providing quality public health and medical care. These range from a health houses, delivery facilities and comprehensive health centers to health post, comprehensive health centers and hospitals. 

Current Projects

Donate medical devices and equipment

Some hospitals and public health units in Sistan and Balouchestan Province lack enough healthcare equipment and medical supplies. Remember, good infrastructure without the right equipment is useless. The donation of this equipment will enable us to improve access to quality healthcare services to underprivileged communities.

We are welcoming charity funds for the purchase of replacement or additional medical equipment. This enables the clinical and research teams to take advantage of advances in medical science and technology to deliver better care to the patients and to replace old equipment that is no longer fit for purpose.

Support for needy patients

The current situation of our society, despite all the efforts made so far, has witnessed various inadequacies in the health of the society. In addition to the pain and suffering, the disease of the needy people is also followed by catastrophic costs, which are beyond their means.

This is especially the case for patients with hard-to-cure diseases, pregnant women, and sick babies from around the province who are come to the hospitals affiliated with ZAUMS for advanced medical treatment. The benevolent people and dear benefactors can help the neediest families in this way and create kindness in existence.

  Supporting Teaching and Research

 In the year 2023, ZAUMS was ranked 17^th in terms of medical sciences publications based on the webometric ranking system of the Iran's Ministry of Health among 65 universities and faculties of medical sciences in the country.

ZAUMS prides itself on its high-quality teaching and high-impact research. Your gift in support of our faculty is vital to our efforts to advance knowledge and provide students with the best instruction possible.
