The 2nd International Congress of Physiology and Pharmacology of Iran began yesterday morning with the presence of professors, graduate and postgraduate students, faculty members and researchers of inside and outside of the country. According to public relations Report - Dr. Naghdi, the President of the Iranian Society of Physiology and Pharmacology pointed out that the congress has been started with the endorsement of the efforts made to hold the biannual congress by Zahedan University of Medical Sciences. He also added that this year, four special awards will be awarded. Two Gold coins from the late Dr. Gity will be awarded to top researchers of less than 35 years old participating in the congress.
He continued: Dr Motamedi"s award the Professor of Physiology at Shahid Beheshti University would be given to two researchers above 35 years old, also Dr. Sanadgol"s Award by Zahedan University of Medical Sciences would be awarded to the participating students as well as Dr. Mahmoudian"s prise, including 2 gold coins would go to top researchers. In another part of his speech, he also mentioned to the advances of the Iranian Physiology and Pharmacology Association: "Fortunately, the research journal of this association is now being published in both Farsi and English."
Dr. Mohammad Reza Miri, the chancelor of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences and chairman of the 23rd Iranian Congress of Physiology and Pharmacology, said: "We are very pleased to host health sponsors in Sistan and Baluchestan province.
He continued: The province was promoted after the implementation of the health system reform plan for the provision of infrastructure.
