Zahedan University of Medical Sciences is among the top 18 universities and medical schools in Iran
The Chancellor of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences said: based on the July 2022 edition of the webometrics ranking system, Zahedan University of Medical Sciences, with three ranks improvement as compared with July 2021 edition, was ranked 18th among 65 universities of sciences.

Zahedan University of Medical Sciences was ranked 18th among 65 universities and faculties of medical sciences based on the results of Webometrics ranking of medical universities in the country.
The Chancellor of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences said: based on the July 2022 edition of the webometrics ranking system, Zahedan University of Medical Sciences, with three ranks improvement as compared with July 2021 edition, was ranked 18th among 65 universities of sciences.
Dr. Habib Ghaznavi continued: The basis of this ranking is based on three indicators, the number of references or links established from other sites to the university site (Visibility index) with a weight of 50%, the number of citations of 210 highly cited authors of the university in Google Scholar (Openness/Transparency index) with a weight of 10, and the percentage and number of quality research articles of the university that have are among the top most 10% articles of the most cited articles on the relevant subject as published on the SCImago Institutions Rankings website (Excellence/Scholar index) with a weight of 40%.
According to Dr. Ghaznavi, Zahedan University of Medical Sciences has taken a very good step by creating favorable conditions and providing the necessary infrastructure to carry out research projects by university academics and researchers.
He stated: Visibility, free access and more prominent presence in the online media and the excellence of research studies are among the prominent points of the research activities of the University of Medical Sciences, which we hope will help the health and wellbeing of our society.
He pointed to the issuance of a definitive activity license for the Zahedan Health Science and Technology Park and added: In Zahedan University of Medical Sciences as a third-generation entrepreneurial university, fortunately, with the establishment of this park, we have witnessed the development of activities carried out by students, academics and technicians. And these entrepreneurs have been able to meet the needs of society and produce and supply a number of pharmaceutical and medical equipment.
