Vice Chancellor for Food and Drug of ZAUMS: 40 percent increase in drug donation in 2018.
Public Relations of the University reported that Dr. FarajianVice Chancellor for Food and Drug of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences(ZAUMS) stated that drug donation for refractory and special diseases increased by 40 percent in 2018 as compared to 2017.

Public Relations of the University reported that Dr. FarajianVice Chancellor for Food and Drug of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences(ZAUMS) stated that drug donation for refractory and special diseases increased by 40 percent in 2018 as compared to 2017.
Dr. Farajian stated that 670 new cases were filed and 950 under coverage patients received medication support worth 19 billions Iranian Rials in 2018.
The Vice Chancellor further said that despite a number of limitations such as price fluctuations and fund allocation, fortunately we were able to increase the number of patients under coverage through managing the costs and rationalizing the free of charge medication support.
Dr. Farajian stressed that according to the guidelines of the Ministry of Health of Iran, free of charge medication support does not include foreign- made medications, similar of which are domestically produced.
Vice Chancellor for food and drug further stated that free of charge medication support will continue as per previous guidelines of the Food and Drug Organization, but new cases will be filed after allocation of funds in 2019.
