As part of the precautionary measures to fight the spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), Zahedan University of Medical Sciences (ZAUMS) has implemented the thermal scanning checkpoints to check the temperatures of all the persons who will be entering the cities covered by ZAUMS.
Temperature screening will be implemented progressively for all arriving modes of transport including buses, cars, train and the flights. Travellers arriving at the checkpoints will have to undergo temperature screening conducted by on-site healthcare assistants. Suspect cases will be referred to hospitals for further assessment.
This is in response to the global spread of coronavirus disease and exported cases to other cities and countries, coupled with the anticipated increase in travel volume in the lead-up to the Iranian New Year holiday period.
