A fixed-wing air ambulance flies over the sky of Zahedan for immediate transfer of an injured patient to Tehran

According to public relations report, Dr. Ali Abdul Razzaq Nejad, Head of the Pre-hospital Emergency department of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences, said: “A 25-year-old young man who suffered a severe head injury due to an accident underwent two surgeries in Zahedan and in order to complete the treatment procedures, he was air transferred to Tehran”.

According to public relations report, Dr. Ali Abdul Razzaq Nejad, Head of the Pre-hospital Emergency department of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences, said: “A 25-year-old young man who suffered a severe head injury due to an accident underwent two surgeries in Zahedan and in order to complete the treatment procedures, he was air transferred to Tehran”.

 

He added: “After the presence of the Minister of Health and the request of the Chancellor of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences regarding the launch of a fixed-wing air ambulance service in Sistan and Balouchestan Province, a communication line was established for the fixed-wing aircraft and the first injured patient was transferred from Khatam Al-Anbia (PBUH) Hospital in Zahedan to Tehran for further treatment”.

 

Pointing out that this action is a great advantage in speeding up the transfer of injured patient to Tehran's medical centers, he continued: "Before, we had to use an ambulance and travel by land to send some patients to Tehran."

He also said: “Patients who cannot provide specialized medical services in the medical centers affiliated with ZAUMS and cannot be transported by ground and lose the golden time, will be sent to Tehran by this air ambulance services”.

 

It should be mentioned that fixed-wing air ambulance is a type of emergency department vehicle that is used for immediate medical assistance in emergency situations.
