Oman based Institute of Nutrigenetics and Zahedan University of Medical Sciences to ink a Memorandum of Understanding for Scientific and Research Collaboration

About the Institute of Nutrigenetics: The Institute of Nutrigenetics (ION) is leading the development of precision nutrition in India, serves as a global platform to provide cohesive training and education towards gaining a broad and deep understanding of the cutting-edge science of nutrigenetics is located in Coimbatore, India. It also aims to facilitate interdisciplinary research in various omics technologies in nutritional sciences among graduate students and health professionals. Scientists at ION seek to discover why people differ in their metabolic and nutritional requirements and to use this understanding to ensure optimal health through individualized nutrition. We aim to empower clinicians especially dietitians and nutritionists through our training programs and courses.
Dr. Seyed Mehdi Tabatabaei, Advisor to the Chancellor of ZAUMS for International Affairs, said on the sidelines of the webinar meeting with the Director of the Institute of Nutrigenetics, Dr. Janani Tamilvanan Nutrigenetic: “We discussed the areas of establishing scientific and research collaborations aimed at holding educational workshops, conducting joint research projects, exchanging professors and experts, conducting joint theses, and conducting bioequivalence studies required by pharmaceutical companies in the framework of a joint memorandum of understanding.”
He added: "Nutrigenomics is a branch of genetics that studies the relationship between genes and diet with the aim of achieving optimal health through diet."
It is noteworthy mentioning that this meeting was held as a webinar with the presence of the Director of Institute of Nutrigenetic, Dr. Janani Tamilvanan, chaired by the chancellor of the University, the Head of the Pharmacology Research Center, the Vice chancellor for Education, the Director of Research and Technology, the Head of the Nutrition Department, and the professors of the Nutrition Department, head of the Genetics Research C
