Zahedan University of Medical Sciences participates at AMEE 2025 The World’s most prestigious Medical Education Conference

Zahedan University of Medical Sciences took great pride in its participation in the AMEE 2025 Conference, recognized as the foremost global assembly in medical education, which was conducted under the theme "How Are Educators are Connect with Health." The conference was broadcast live from Barcelona, Spain, while also being simultaneously hosted online by 14 universities throughout Iran.

 

According to the report from the public relations department, Dr. Ali Khajeh, who serves as the Vice Chancellor for Education at Zahedan University of Medical Sciences and is the Executive Secretary of the conference, emphasized the importance of the event: "The simultaneous online hosting of AMEE 2025 provided a significant opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and best practices in the field of medical education. This represents a substantial advancement in improving the quality of medical sciences education in accordance with international standards."

 

Dr. Leila Keikha, the Scientific Secretary of the conference and the Director of the Center for Educational Development and Research, provided an overview of the academic program:

"Each day included two specialized panels addressing contemporary issues such as artificial intelligence in medical education, universal health, competency-based education, coaching within medical education, and interprofessional collaboration in intricate clinical scenarios. After each panel, our faculty members participated in comprehensive discussions to contextualize and implement these insights."

 

It is important to mention that the AMEE 2025 Conference took place from August 25 to 27, 2025, focusing on innovative approaches to enhance medical education.
