According to the public relations report, Dr. Seyed Mehdi Tabatabaei, Advisor to the Chancellor off Zahedan University of Medical Sciences for international affairs, said: In this ceremony, which was held on June 6, 2025, with the aim of providing a basis for familiarizing new students with the structure, facilities, and educational and cultural policies of the university, 29 international students joined the academic society of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences as freshmen in the third official admission period.

He further remarked: Zahedan University of Medical Sciences, leveraging its scientific, research, and educational capabilities along with its strategically significant regional position, has made substantial progress towards the internationalization of medical education, with the recruitment of foreign students being a key achievement in this endeavor.

He went on to say: In accordance with the overarching policies aimed at the internationalization of higher education, the University of Medical Sciences has admitted international students into three programs thus far, and the development of scientific diplomacy, enhancement of regional collaborations, and fortification of the university's standing in the global context are among the primary objectives of this initiative.

Dr. Tabatabaei concluded: With the inclusion of these new students, the total number of foreign students currently enrolled at Zahedan University of Medical Sciences has reached 81.
