A faculty member from Zahedan University of Medical Sciences Wins the Top Young Researcher Award at the 8th International Congress of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology
One of the faculty members of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences won the first place at the 17th National Congress of Biochemistry and the 8th International Congress of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology that was held in collaboration with the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry (IFCC) and the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB).

One of the faculty members of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences won the first place at the 17th National Congress of Biochemistry and the 8th International Congress of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology that was held in collaboration with the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry (IFCC) and the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB).
According to public relations report: Dr. Saman Sargazi, a member of the Faculty of Cell and Molecular Research Center of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences, participated in the 17th National Congress of Biochemistry and the 8th International Congress of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, which was held on 23 to 26 August 2022 in Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Based on his published articles and scientific and research activities, Dr. Sargazi the title of "the Best Young Researcher" and received the award of the late Professor Dr. Mohammad Taghikhani.
He, who is ranked 15th in the h-index ranking system in Google Scholar, due to the publication of valid scientific articles, has also won the title of young researcher of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences for two years in a row, and last year he was also chosen as the top researcher in the Zahedan University of Medical Sciences.
It is worth mentioning that the International Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Congress is held every few years with the aim of sharing the latest research achievements in the field of biochemistry and molecular biology and with the presence of national and international scientists and researchers. One of the side programs of this congress is the awarding of awards to young scientists and researchers, which is named in honor of Dr. Mohammad Taghikhani.
Dr. Mohammad Taghikhani was born in 1949 and studied laboratory sciences and clinical biochemistry. He completed the blood and hormones specialized course at Tehran University Medical School and Morgan, Miami, and Ohio Universities, respectively. After his death in 2017, in honor of his valuable scientific, managerial and social services, an award named after Dr. Taghikhani are being are awarded to 3 top selected young researchers in the field of clinical biochemistry and cellular and molecular biology. This year, this valuable award was given to a faculty member of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences.
