Zahedan University of Medical Sciences is among the top 17 medical universities and schools in Iran
Dr. Ghaznavi the chancellor of ZAUMS stated that Zahedan University of Medical Sciences is going through its growing process in the field of science, research, technology and medicine. The review of the scientific productions of ZAUMS shows that this university is among the top 17 universities and medical schools in the country. He continued: based on the January 2023 edition of the webometrics ranking system, ZAUMS has been ranked 17th among 65 medical sciences universities in the country, with one step up compared to July 2022. He continued: fortunately, in the world university ranking, Zahedan University of Medical Sciences has been upgraded 70 times in the January 2023 ranking.

Dr. Ghaznavi the chancellor of ZAUMS stated that Zahedan University of Medical Sciences is going through its growing process in the field of science, research, technology and medicine. The review of the scientific productions of ZAUMS shows that this university is among the top 17 universities and medical schools in the country. He continued: based on the January 2023 edition of the webometrics ranking system, ZAUMS has been ranked 17th among 65 medical sciences universities in the country, with one step up compared to July 2022. He continued: fortunately, in the world university ranking, Zahedan University of Medical Sciences has been upgraded 70 times in the January 2023 ranking.
Dr. Ghaznavi said: "Zahedan University of Medical Sciences has provided favorable infrastructure and a very good field to carry out research projects by professors and researchers". Referring to the effective role of research activities in promoting health in the society, he said: "Our professors and researchers should survey the needs and challenges of the society in the field of health and treatment and provide solutions to solve those problems."
Dr. NoorMohammad Bakhshani, the vice chancellor of Research and Technology of ZAUMS also said: "Based on the July 2022 edition of the webometrics ranking system, Zahedan University of Medical Sciences was ranked 17th among 65 universities of sciences".
He continued: this ranking is based on three indicators: the number of references or links established from other sites to the university site (Visibility index) with a weight (50%), the number of citations of 210 highly cited authors of the university in Google Scholar (Openness/Transparency index) with a weight (10%) and number of qualitative articles of the university are among the 10% of the most cited articles on the relevant subject on the SCImago site (Excellence/Scholar index) with a weight (40%). He continued: The results of the latest Webometrics global ranking can be viewed at sci.zaums.ac.ir/38587.page. Dr. Bakhshani further appreciated the efforts made by the professors, faculty members and staff of ZAUMS in order to improve the university"s research indicators.
