Free Epidemiology and Climate Change Symposium by AEA and IEA on 4 October from 2- 3:30 pm AEDT
Three experts from different countries within the Western Pacific region discuss the implications of climate change for the region and globally, with a focus on epidemiological and health issues of climate change that need to be addressed. The symposium will begin by three 20-minutes talks by the speakers below, followed by a 30-minutes panel discussion moderated by A/Prof. Brigid Lynch. This program is jointly organized by the Australasian Epidemiological Association, and the International Epidemiological Association, Western Pacific Region.

G5 High Level Expert Meeting on Health Cooperation was held in Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran, 6-7 Sep. 2022
The G5 meeting was held in Tehran, Iran in 6-7 September 2022, with the presence of delegations from Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq and the World Health Organization with the theme of “Joint Work for Solving Joint Health Problems”. The participants included senior level professionals of the four countries.

The representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Iran and Head of Mission, Dr. Syed Jaffar Hussain in a videoconference meeting that vas held on 31 August 2022 regarding exploring areas for collaboration with Pakistan universities and health authorities stated that there is a very high capacity for the development of health, medical and educational cooperation and collaboration between Iran and Pakistan, and he proposed establishing a relationship with Aga Khan University in Karachi and Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences (BUMHS) in Quetta, and with Zahedan University of Medical Sciences in the field of medical sciences education.
