A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a focus on scaling up cross-border cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to control the coronavirus pandemic has been drafted by Iran"s Ministry of Health.

Philanthropic organizations nationwide have taken a prominent role in addressing critical health concerns. They are engaged in helping to improve access to essential health services and primary health care via improving healthcare infrastructure in underprivileged rural communities in Sistan and Balouchestan Province. They have developed innovative and successful approaches to tackle the needs of the very poor and vulnerable people.

The Mirjaveh Border Health Surveillance Unit is active throughout the year. Islamic Republic of Iran has been committed to complying with international health regulations since 2012 and at Mirjaveh-Pakistan border crossing, according to international health regulations, all travelers and foreign nationals are screened for infectious diseases included in the Irans Ministry of Health syndromic surveillance system.
