As part of orientation program for international students at Zahedan University of Medical sciences, the first group of international students attended an induction meeting on August 7, 2024, with the presence of Dr. Khajeh, Vice Chancellor for Education, Dr. Abbassi, Vice Chancellor for Students and Cultural Affairs, Dr. Tabatabaei, Advisor to Chancellor for International Affairs, Dr. Khazayee, Focal Point for Internationalization of Medical Education at the School of Medicine, and the relevant directors.

According to the Public Relations report, Dr. Seyyed Mehdi Tabatabaei, the Advisor to chancellor for International Affairs, stated: “After approximately four decades since the establishment of the university and the presence of more than 400 faculty members and the existence of appropriate scientific, educational, and student capacities at the university, with the admission for international students, important steps have been taken towards the internationalization of medical education at the university”.
